FAQ
What is moxa? Moxa is made from mugwort, a herb gently warmed in a tradition practised across East Asia for centuries. The word comes from the Japanese mogusa, meaning mugwort. It is enjoyed as a slow, warming ritual.
What does "smokeless" mean? Traditional moxa can produce dense, aromatic smoke. Our sticks are made to release a gentle warmth with far less smoke, so the ritual fits comfortably into a modern home. We still recommend using them in a ventilated space.
Is this a medical product? No. Maison Mogusa products are wellness items inspired by tradition. They are not medical devices and are not intended to treat or cure anything. We simply offer a warm, grounding ritual.
How do I use it? Light the tip, let it glow, and hold its gentle warmth a comfortable distance from the skin for a few minutes — never touching. See our Ritual guide for the full steps and safety notes.
How long does one stick last? [Fill in once you've tested your sample — e.g. "Each stick offers roughly X minutes of warmth."]
Is it safe? Like any product that burns, it must be used with care, over a heatproof surface, away from anything flammable, and never left unattended. Please read our Use & Safety page in full before your first ritual.
